Club Marathon Draw

The results of the Virgin Money London Marathon ballot are imminent so below is the criteria.

The date for the ballot of the Club places for the Virgin Money London Marathon 2014 has not yet been confirmed but in keeping with last year the likely date will be the same as the EERR Christmas Social (provisionally Saturday 13 December 2014).

  1. Open to Members where East End Road Runners is their first claim club.
  2. Renewed EERR membership or became an EERR member before 1st June 2014, i.e. the year prior to the year the marathon is being held.
  3. You must provide proof of being rejected by VMLM 2014. This can be in the form of the rejection slip/letter or e-mail from VMLM 2014. Please evidence proof of rejection to a member of the EERR committee.
  4. Previous recipients of EERR Club Marathon places in 2012 for VMLM 2013 and 2013 for VMLM 2014 are not eligible to enter this year’s draw.

Further instructions will follow once we know how many VMLM places we have received.

The more members we have the more places we receive. Based on current numbers (126) we should receive 3 places. Let’s try and increase our numbers to 151 and get 4 places!

Allocation of places has not yet been finalised neither has cut off date for determining membership numbers (again last year numbers were taken as at 30 November 2013).

Well done!

To all the purples that took part in events over the weekend. Please send your race reports and photos.

Bedford Half Marathon

Now that ELVIS is done for another year, let’s end 2014 on a high and make the Bedford Half Marathon a Purple Party. Sunday 7 December 2014. Can we beat last year’s team entry of 21?
