Leave NLC following the side path as far as Boundary Lane. Exit onto the cycle track/pavement, and continue along Newham Way as far as the footbridge. Cross over, and go through the gap in the wall into Viking Gardens and on to the gates of Beckton District Park North.
Follow the path inside the Park, taking the 2nd left [fork], going past wooden exercise equipment, following the path as far as the entrance onto Tollgate Road.
Cross the road and follow the road to the right past the bus stop to the mini roundabout at Stansfeld Road. Turn left and follow the pavement all the way down as far as the children's playground just past the Will Thorne Pavilion car park. At this point continue on the park path around to the left and then straight on along the Beckton Corridor.
At the end of the corridor [opposite the Asda supermarket/bus station] turn right and follow Woolwich Manor Way down to the small cycletrack cut through to the junction with East Ham Manor Way and the top of Savage Gardens.
Enter New Beckton Park and on exiting the park at the end of the straight path through it follow the cinder trim trail around to the right until just after the 500m marker. At this point cut out along Campion Close onto Strait Road, turning left and continuing to Cyprus DLR station.
Take the walkway through the station and through the UEL campus as far as the Dockside. Turn left and continue along the dock promenade to Sir Steve Redgrave bridge.
At which point, turn around and retrace the route back to NLC.
